Thank you for participating in our program

Please, be patient as we review applications. You will be notified by email on or before Nov. 15 of your acceptance. Please, do not call our office, and they will not be able to update your status. Thank you for your patience as we process the many applications.

How to apply

To complete the application, you will need to have the following documentation ready. You will need to complete the application in one session, and gathering documentation now will facilitate the process.

1 / Photo ID - for all adults in the household

(Driver’s license, state ID, or other government-issued ID)

2 / Proof of address - for the parent, guardian or custodian

(Utility bill, lease, or other document showing current address)

3 / Custodial documents - required for all non- parent guardians

(Court papers or official documentation showing legal custody)

4 / Proof of family size and children's age (birth- 17)

(One of the following for each child: birth certificate, hospital birth record, State ID, passport)

Sign-Up Information

Online sign-ups will take place at the end of October each year.​​

 

Due to high demand: A family can receive help from the SVDP Christmas Program a maximum of 8 times. After that, you will need to ask for Christmas help from another organization.

Sponsor a Family

If you are interested in purchasing gifts and a holiday meal for a family through our program, sign up to sponsor a family.

New for 2024

The gift idea form will be sent via email once we review your application (if you are eligible for our program). Submit the gift idea form within 48 hours of receiving it, or your application will be denied.

How to Apply

Step 1: Fill out an application with required documents

  • Custodial documents for all non-parent guardians

  • Photo ID for adults in household

  • Proof of address for parent/guardian/custodian

  • Birth certificates for all children in home (birth-17) as proof of family size for holiday meal (or hospital birth record, state ID, passport, or government printouts that show children's birthdates such as Medicaid, SNAP, TANF printouts

Step 2: You will receive an email stating that we have received your application. Please check your inbox and your spam/junk folder.

 

Step 3: After we review your application, you will receive another email.

  • If you are not eligible for our program, your application will be denied.

  • If you are eligible for our program, you will receive an email with a link for a gift idea form.

 

Step 4: Submit the gift idea form within 48 hours, or your application will be denied. You will receive an email confirming you have submitted your gift idea form.

 

Step 5: After staff has reviewed your gift idea form, you will receive an email notifying you if your application has been approved. This email will contain more information about what it means to be sponsored through the SVDP Christmas Program.

Documents are required to apply. You cannot submit an application without the required documents.
