100 Days of Relief

During the 100 days of summer, YOU can help St. Vincent de Paul Society provide relief to those most in need. Your help will relieve worry about how to feed children who are not getting free lunch at school during the summer months, relieve a family from heat, and relieve stress about how to make the next rent payment.

51% increase in services

Every summer, the St. Vincent de Paul Society experiences an increased need for our services. This year, we expect the need to be even greater—not due to the pandemic—but due to inflation.

Rent in Indiana is up 13%, with the average cost of renting a 2 bedroom apartment at $981 per month. The average cost of groceries has risen 10.8% in the last year, the largest increase since 1980. The average cost of a gallon of gas has risen 43% in the past year.*

All of these costs are starting to add up for families who were already struggling to make ends meet and for organizations like ours who are facing both an increase in demand and an increase in expenses. Already, we’ve had a 51% increase in households served compared to last year.

Help Provide Relief

As we face this increased need for our services, we need your help to provide critical services to those struggling in our community.

This summer, please consider supporting the work of the Society by providing relief to someone in your community. We can’t do this without you.
